2) Summary: I saw new characters, setting and plot: Characters: Esperanza, her parents, Marisol, Chita, Bertina. Setting: family ranch in Mexico. Plot conflict: none yet..they have a beautiful life so far.

3) Vocabulary Words: vaqueros, means cowboys.  campesinos, means farm workers.  Quinceaneras, means presentation party (like a debutante)

4) Response: I really liked the very first part, about how the land is alive and breathing.  The life on the rancho sounds very nice.  I wonder if anything will ruin it.
